About the creation of Mizu Life

Behind the brand is Jussi Oksanen, an Olympic athlete and professional snowboarder for 18 years,
has won seven X Games medals and is widely known as one of the best backcountry snowboarders of all time.
While filming a snowboard movie in Alaska in 2008, Jussi recognized
together with his friend and filmmaker Brad Kremer, how much the traces of disposable plastic water bottles clouded their travels.
Jussi’s search for a reusable bottle that matched both his demanding fluid needs and his style was repeatedly neglected, and he suspected that he was not the only one.
He committed to starting a company that would fill this gap, and shortly afterwards Mizu Life was born.

His passion for a plastic-free world is only surpassed by his passion for producing durable products for like-minded people.
